Woodhaven and Readiness to Learn invited the community and ALE families to their FallFUN! Apple Cider Pressing event this weekend at the South Whidbey Community Center.

The rain held off and the Apple Pressing at the South Whidbey Community Center was a great success! A ton of apples (literally!) resulted in gallons and gallons of juice. Working with Readiness to Learn to provide this great fall activity for our community was a wonderful experience!

Mindful of Covid and trying to operate in the safest way possible, community members were asked to pick apples and register before the event––then times were made available throughout Saturday the 9th to chop, scrat, press and drink the “liquid gold”!  So many came to help and were delighted to take home jars of the freshest apple cider on the planet.

Thank you to all those who turned out to help. We are looking forward to doing this again next year!
